The spokesperson of the Chinese foreign ministry said that the work to the six-lane highway began in September 2016 and it had been scheduled to be ready by September 2019.
Hua Chunying explained the job on the project lasted for nearly three years and produced 29,000 jobs for the natives.
The construction work on Motorway was completed, along with this month the project is expected to be started for transportation. The international ministry of China announced this this week. It was completed before the scheduled time.
She highlighted that the arrangement of Sukkur-Multan Motorway will play a critical part in Pakistan’s social and economic development.
The project, known as M5 in Pakistan, is part of the nation’s Peshawar-Karachi Motorway and was built for speeds of up to 120 kilometers. The total cost of the mega project was approximately $2.89 billion.
