Ban on TikTok Petitions at Lahore High Court

He requested the court to order the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to prohibit the lip-sync video app in the nation. The petitioner required that the application should be taken down from Google and Apple stores in Pakistan. The plaintiff has claimed in the request that the Chinese video program is a total waste of time, money, and energy. He claimed that the program is spreading vulgarity and promoting porn among the youth.

The ban has been, however, raised on the petition of the company after it guaranteed that the court of rigorously following ethical principles. It should be mentioned here that a local court in India had prohibited the popular video-sharing app in February on identical grounds. A petition for banning Tik Tok has been submitted at Lahore High Court. He also suggested the establishment of a Privacy Protection Act under the federal government.
